Steel Bridge Competition

Last weekend, our ASCE club (American Society of Civil Engineers) went to Helena, Montana to compete in a steel bridge competition. Each school must design and fabricate a 20' long steel bridge that holds 2500 pounds. Part of the competition is to have the lightest bridge and be able to put it together the fastest. We placed 8th out of 14 schools. Our build time was about 14 minutes and our bridge weighed 180 pounds.
